Basically, such water procedures are performed for medicinal purposes – to reduce discomfort and pain, relieve inflammation or irritation in the lower body. Sedentary baths are recommended by doctors and in very rare cases cause side effects.

1. Simple sitz bath with salt
Salt is an excellent antibacterial and healing agent. Saline sitz baths are used for many diseases: from hemorrhoids to pruritus. And they are really easy to make: you will need 1/4 cup of salt and the hottest water you can tolerate. Stay in the bath for at least 30 minutes. and drain when it gets too cold.

You will need: 1 cup (255 g) of coarse sea salt, 60 g of lavender and 60 g of witch hazel (can be replaced with essential oils), 60 g of plantain, 60 g of yarrow, 60 g of calendula, 60 g of chamomile.
Combine all ingredients and place in a small paper or cloth bag. Dip it in very hot water and wait for the salt to dissolve. When the temperature in the bath becomes comfortable, you can begin to relax.
4. Sedentary bath with oils
These baths not only have a healing effect, but also relax well thanks to luxurious aromatherapy. They also help relieve symptoms of sexual diseases.
For this tool you will need the following ingredients: 1/2 cup Epsom salts, 2 tbsp. l baking soda, 2 tbsp. l witch hazel, 1 tbsp. l olive oil, 8 drops of lavender and chamomile essential oils. And of course, water.
Mix salt with soda. Add everything else, mix again and dip in water. Pamper yourself with a sitz bath for 15–20 min.
5. Sitting bath with blueberries
A recipe for a bath with blueberry leaves will help cure urinary tract infections and hemorrhoids. In addition, baths with blueberries help with diarrhea and diseases of the gastrointestinal tract.
Take 2 tsp. dried blueberry leaves, add 1 cup of water and bring to a boil. Now you need to pour the broth into the bath and stay in the water for about 20 minutes.
6. Sitting bath with witch hazel
Witch hazel, also known as the “witch nut”, reduces pain, itching and bleeding, without which, unfortunately, hemorrhoids are not complete. This bath can be done in two ways: dip in warm water about 10 g of witch hazel leaves or 1/4 cup of Epsom salts along with witch hazel extract.
7. Seated bath with apple cider vinegar
Apple cider vinegar baths are a natural antibacterial that can help cope with many diseases. Simply pour 1/2 cup organic apple cider vinegar into warm salt water. Relax in the bath for at least 15–20 minutes.
